Tuesday Mountain Bike Ride - meet 6.30pm B&Q Car Park, Coypool, Plymouth - This ride usually covers around 20 miles it's fairly fast and technical. Definitely not for novices. You'll get a lot of off-road mountain biking in around 2 hours. The group meets and decides where to ride on the night. In the winter you will need good lights.
Tuesday Mountain Bike Ride Alternative - "Wayne's World" - same meet time as above but with the welcome return of the Routemeister
(Wayne Clare), we are able to offer a 2nd ride for Intermediate Riders (as opposed to Advanced Riders & Racers above). The routes will be much closer to home making use of the local woods and bombholes and won't require the same fitness levels as above. Fun fun fun... (expect to be joined by a Springer Spaniel on some of the rides!!)
Thursday Adventure Mountain Bike Ride - meet 7pm at a different venue each week (please contact for details)
A more relaxed alternative to Tuesday’s ride. This ride generally covers under 20 miles and usually takes place on the moor. The plan is that you go to the meeting point and then drive out onto Dartmoor to the ride starting point. After the ride you have the option of visiting a local pub to recount the evening’s adventure. It is important that you bring spare clothing to leave at your car just in case you endo into a bog or leat, after all we don’t want you dieing of exposure! Again, during the winter you will need good lights and the ride goes ahead no matter what the weather.
Tuesday & Thursday Road Ride - meet 6.30pm B&Q Car Park, Coypool, Plymouth - Meet and then decide on a route. Ride distance is normally around 30 miles in 2 hours or less. There are usually 2 groups, with the faster group (17+mph average). We use quiet roads, so expect plenty of climbing. It’s a lot of fun riding in a group and certainly beats sitting on a turbo trainer.
Monthly Fun Mountain Bike Ride - 1st Saturday of each month at a different meeting point each time (please contact for details)
The idea of this ride is to introduce people to some proper off-roading. You may have got bored with trolling up and down the same old cycle-path; this ride introduces people to new some new trails. Nothing too demanding, and the pace is very much that of the slowest rider. Nobody’s going to complain that it’s too slow because that’s the whole point! Some expert riders even turn-up just to do a bit of socialising. Ride distance is usually no more than 15 miles but expect to be out for up to 4 hours – so bring some food.
Saturday Steady Road Ride - meet 9am B&Q Coypool, Plympton, Plymouth - Fed-up with riding on your own? Ride with a group at a steady pace (average speed 15 mph). Usually we plan this ride so that everyone starts together and then after a cafe stop the ride splits into at least 2 or even 3 different routes. There are normally options of 20 and 40 miles, plus a longer alternative for those wanting a little more. The longer ride tends to speed-up after the cafe stop.
Monthly Introductory Road Ride - 3rd Saturday of each month - meet 9am B&Q Coypool, Plympton, Plymouth - Ideal for novices or newcomers with a distance of around 25 miles and a cafe stop.
In addition to these rides we occasionally organise extra rides, so keep an eye on the website or why not sign-up for our weekly email update.
Check on the 'News' page for up to date details of this weeks offerings.
With all our rides we guarantee that you will receive a warm welcome.
Please bring at the very least; a spare inner tube and a pump. You will also require water and some basic food.
Our aim is to encourage and enable others to enjoy this great sport so please be aware that you turn up to any of these rides at your own risk and you must wear a helmet on both Road and MTB rides.
